Red Chalet

Located in the historic centre of Armação de Pêra, the Red Chalet exudes luxury and tradition, right next to Armação de Pêra’s extensive sandy beach and with a terrace overlooking the sea. Originally known as the Caldas e Vasconcelos Chalet, the building remained the summer residence of this family of the Silves bourgeoisie for almost 80 years and is still a historical and cultural landmark of the town. Projected by Manuel de Vasconcelos, the building was inspired by French civil archi¬tecture of the time, and its construction took place in the first decade of the 20th century, in 1908. It joined the Vila Vita Collection portfolio in 2017/2018.

The wooden floors, antique chandeliers and a magnificent staircase are original
elements of the house, now renovated, complemented by the Moroccan influence in the architecture and some more contem-porary details in the decoration and finishes, such as antique chests, paintings, collectibles and museum-worthy pieces of art.

Despite its central location, the Red Chalet is a 260 m2 hideaway that excels in
exclusivity and comfort, thanks to the two bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, but alsothe dining and living room with access to the terrace – and a stunning view – and a generously sized kitchen with a traditional touch in the décor, but fully equipped with modern, state-of-the-art appliances. A secret door leads guests to another terrace – a well-kept secret of the Red Chalet.

Outside, the guest house, entitled White House (122 m2), offers some of the
sophisticated amenities of the Red Chalet but with a more contemporary and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for younger members of the family who prefer to have their own space. This duplex features a suite with en-suite bathroom on the upper floor, as well as a terrace, and living room on the ground floor (70 m2), together with a studio (52 m2) with en-suite bathroom with shower.

The terraces and gardens of the Red Chalet invite you to relax under the Algarve sun and the melody of the waves echoing in every corner. To make this space even more appealing, the Red Chalet offer an outdoor heated swimming pool as well as a wellness area with a massage room and sauna.

Under the Vila Vita Parc seal, in particular Vila Vita Collection, the Red Chalet has exclusive and bespoke services, such as a villa manager and a housekeeping team, who respond to guests’ requirements without being noticed and with the highest possible level of discretion and professionalism.
